Volunteer Opportunity - City of Yuma Merit Board

    April 15, 2016

A volunteer opportunity is now available to participate in a public sector employer Merit Board. The City of Yuma’s Boards and Commissions announcement that gives a short description of the committee. It is not a huge time commitment – quarterly breakfast meetings before work, and hearings (when scheduled) can take up to two days and we work around board availability as much as we can with time constraints dictated by the Merit Board regulations. The City is very interested in having members who have a human resources background, understand personnel policies, employee relations, disciplinary processes, etc. There is no minimum amount of time in HR required to apply, so don’t let that deter you if you are looking for a way to participate in volunteering somewhere in this subject area. You can access an application from the City website - http://www.yumaaz.gov/city-clerks-office/public-meeting-agendas.html . You can also contact Ron Corbin directly if you have more questions – 373-5133.
